Some special school books were trialled by making them in a remote Wainimakutu Village of Namosi Fiji.

Les Westerlund wrote some interesting stories based on his travels in Fiji. He had them translated back into Fijian and published on his special hand made smooth paper. Les Westerlund went to Wainimakutu Village and help them learn the new smooth papermaking technology and trial a few books. He printed some copies in the village with a lap top computer and  printer on the village generator power supply.

The local l schools liked the concept and thought it pioneered a 'converstationl english'  approach to having both Fijian and English text together. The book/paper could then be coloured in by the students on the special hand made paper.
